I never realized I could fall in love with an oven, until I learned about
Miele's Steam Oven! Thursday night I attended a fantastic cooking demonstration at
Orange County Kitchens. The very talented
Natasha showed off the Miele steam oven cooking healthy, time saving meals. Sign me up! Here are some of the great cooking tips I learned and pictures from the beautiful showroom.

Natasha cut the artichokes in half and scraped underneath the "fuzzy" part lifting out the unwanted
fuzzies and red leaves. Also by cutting them in half they cook faster. These were ready in
just under 10 minutes and were easy to eat since all the work was done for you! Great tip! |
 |
When cooking pasta noodles, Natasha suggests adding enough salt to the water to
taste like ocean water, helping to bring out the flavor of the pasta. She also suggests
adding a little olive oil, but not until you drain the pasta, if you
add it while the pasta is cooking all the oil just floats to the top. |

Lovely dark granite with dark cabinets. I love seeing this combination, too often people assume
because they have dark cabinets they can only do a light countertop. |
 |
| Another kitchen vignette from the showroom. Beautiful Azul Aran granite with antiqued cabinets. |
 |
| Sleek modern kitchen, love those extra long knobs. Pretty Limestone countertop. |
 |
| Limestone countertops, stone tile backsplash and custom cabinets. |
 |
| Love the white on white! White cabinets, carrara marble and crystal knobs. |
